We contracted Ben Nolan to re-do the entire bathroom shower stall last year, and this year they retiled the main floor and changed the baseboards.. All the renovations were done to our satisfaction. They are very professional in their dealings. They are reliable and trustworthy. I get a lot of compliments from friends and family on the renovations done.

Ironwood has now worked on two big projects for me, and in both cases I have been exceptionally pleased with the quality and precision of the work. The first was a multi-level replacement deck in the backyard, using composite decking accented with cedar. It’s beautiful, and we get lots of compliments on the design elements and the exacting mitre cuts and assembly. I really appreciated the care in protecting the framing from premature rotting with the sealing of all cuts and the protective membrane between the framing and the decking, really smart!
The second project was all the installation of all the door, window and baseboard trim in our new 2400 square foot build (and there are lots of doors and windows!) The baseboards are 7 ½ inches high, with a complex profile, and would have shown any imperfections if the corner coping and mitres were not individually spec’d out. There was no hiding of imperfections with caulking….each corner was tight and true. The door and window trim was also wide, with the added complexity of two layers with a back band. Again, here, meticulous work for each opening. To top it all off, Ben is a trusted contractor, and that’s very hard to find these days. He’s honest, and genuinely interested in the fit and finish of his work, and in my satisfaction with the end product. I highly recommend them.

I wanted to write and say thank you for the excellent job you and John did for us in doing our kitchen. Gutting a kitchen and taking walls down is a huge job and you guys got us through it with ease. It was so easy going to work every day knowing that we had two trustworthy men in the house who not only did the work but let our dog be the supervisor. One thing that Garry was really impressed with was how you guys showed up everyday at about the same time and worked and got so much done during the day. Every night when we came home we saw how much progress was made. You didn’t slack off or take forever to do the job like I had heard horror stories about when renovating a kitchen.
The one thing that I appreciated was the little things you did plus when you put up with mine and Garry’s craziness and the time you spent explaining things to us and listening to our needs and wants. I absolutely love my kitchen – the job is amazing. If you ever need to give out my name for reference, please do. I will highly recommend you and John. Great friendly, trustworthy men who do a fabulous job!! Thank you again. Remember next year I need you for the bathroom.
